JOB DESCRIPTION

We are expanding our Computer Vision & ML team to design, train, and optimize models that power PerCV.ai. As a Computer Vision / ML Engineer, you will help build AI models for detection, classification, segmentation, and understanding, and work closely with embedded and platform engineers to bring them into production. Skills on embedded programming will be acknowledged, to explore the most efficient and practical algorithmic implementations in embedded platforms.

In this role, you should be able to work with an agile team of experienced engineers, solving complex vision AI problems by developing cutting edge technology. You will be involved in various products and development phases working alongside some of the most talented people in the industry.

What you’ll do

  • Research, design, and train machine learning models for computer vision tasks such as detection, classification, and segmentation
  • Evaluate and benchmark model performance across accuracy, latency, and memory metrics
  • Collaborate with embedded engineers to optimize models for edge deployment
  • Contribute to data preparation, augmentation, and pipeline automation
  • Maintain clean experiment tracking, documentation, and reproducible repositories

You might be a fit if you have experience with any of the following

(We don’t expect you to match every point — if you tick ~60% and are excited to grow, we want to hear from you!)

  • Strong Python programming skills, especially for ML applications
  • Experience with frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow and Python packages such as Scikit-learn
  • Solid understanding of computer vision fundamentals and ML algorithms
  • Practical experience with model training, tuning, and evaluation (>2yrs of working experience) on object detection, classification and segmentation tasks using deep learning models (e.g. CNNs, RNNs/LSTMs)
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across software and embedded teams

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with modern architectures (Transformers, Vision-Language Models, Diffusion Models, GenAI, Zero shot and open-set architectures)
  • Experience with 3D Vision and Spatial Understanding (depth, point clouds, SLAM)
  • Exposure to Code versioning (Git), MLOps, Docker, and microservices
  • Embedded software background and understanding of embedded system architectures.
  • C++ experience for performance-critical implementations

What’s in it for you

  • Work on impactful computer vision problems with real-world applications
  • Collaborate with a sharp, cross-functional team of engineers and researchers
  • Competitive salary & private medical insurance
  • Hybrid work setup (Athens or Patras)
  • Huge room for creativity and innovation
